Meet Oscar, a 1.5-year-old Pit Bull Terrier who weighs 49 pounds. This sweet hunk of love is housetrained and enters his crate with only minimal whining. He's good with children and would do well in any environment.
Oscar's hobbies include hanging around the house, going on car rides, spending time in the yard, and playing with other medium-sized and large dogs. (When Oscar doesn't want to engage with other dogs, he lowers his head or walks away.) He'll loving playing fetch with you...when he's not trying to sit in your lap! He only chews his bones and dog toys, never your furniture or shoes.
Sometimes Oscar gets excited, so his foster parents are working with him to keep his paws on the floor when meeting new people. He knows his own strength and doesn't jump on children. He's a calm boy who is loyal and easy to train.
From Oscar's foster Mom: "He gets his zoomies out for a few minutes in the backyard with the other dogs, and he’s good to go. He'd have plenty of energy for long walks. Oscar always wants to be touching his person; he loves laying right on top of you like he’s your personal blanket."
Are you looking for a fun-loving companion who enjoys giving and receiving love? Oscar may be the special boy for you! His adoption fee is $200 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
To be considered for adoption, you must first submit the application found at:
