My name is LOLA (SRC#1956) and I am gentile lady looking for someone who would like a beautiful young Salt & Pepper Giant Schnauzer female to be the apple of their eye! My loving Mom has decided she must place me in another home because her work demands she travel more frequently now and I miss her terribly. We tried Doggie Day Care but that was not a good solution because the more I missed my Mom, the more withdrawn I became from my canine friends at daycare. Seeing me sitting alone in the corner just broke her heart and she knew it was time to make a change so she contacted SRC to help her. You see I need human companionship on a regular basis. My Mom got me when I was only 8--9 weeks old and we were together a lot then . I love other canines; still they do not take the place of my significant human who cuddles with me and snuggles on the couch in the evenings while we watch our favorite TV shows! My Mom knows that I am young enough to bond with someone else readily and she loves me enough to make that sacrifice. It was not without a lot of tears and soul searching yet she knows I would give my life for her and she wants to do everything possible to make me as happy and contented as possible! I am only 4 years old and I weigh approximately 90 pounds. The beginning of my life has been fantastic and she has promised me that the remainder of it will be too with the help of SRC . They are helping my Mom find the perfect home for me. I want a family to adopt me who will be able to spend a lot of time with me so they will either need to be retired and still young enough to enjoy life OR they could work from home but not so hard that they don't have time to notice just how sweet I am!
I have all my vaccinations, am micro-chipped, spayed, am heart-worm negative and a really big "Teddy Bear" of love. I have a very gentle nature and am easy going. When left alone at home, I don't require crating because I never bother anything in the house. Told you I was a Lady! Anyone who adopts me will be very fortunate indeed, so you might want to apply to adopt me right away. You may download an application on SRC's website or in this write-up. All applicants must have gone through SRC's approval process which will include a completed adoption application, stellar vet reference, and good home visit which reveals a good environment for a Giant Schnauzer. My adopter should be very familiar with the Giant Schnauzer breed. It would be advantageous to have had other Giants in their family in the past also. When I am adopted I will bring my own bed and toys with me. My current Mom wants to assure that I am very comfortable in my new surroundings plus I will come with a supply of the food that I eat so that there will be no tummy upsets. My Mom has taken care of everything!
(SRC#1956 ) LOLA'S STORY
LOLA with this unique identification number: (SRC#1956) is remaining with her current owner and will not be coming into our custody and care. It was mutually decided that Lola would be less traumatized where she only moved once--from her current home to her adoptive home; therefore, this is an OWNER PLACEMENT and SRC has not physically seen the dog. We have received copies of her medical history and verified that she is up to date on all her necessary records. The photos posted were provided by her owner.
When ready for OWNER PLACEMENT adoption, her owner stipulates that Lola was heart-worm tested on 8, 2017 and not due again until 8-2018; all necessary vaccinations are up to date with none of them expiring prior to 8-2017 and examined fully by a vet on that date with any necessary medical issues found by this vet addressed at that time. Lola has been maintained on Sentinel Spectrum monthly. Lola will be released as adopted once her adoption contract is signed and approved and her donation has been made by the approved applicant selected to adopt her. Approval of her adoption will be the final decision of both her current owner and that of the SRC Core Team. Once the adoption paperwork is finalized then her date of release is left to the discretion of the SRC Core Team, her current owner and her approved adoptive parent to schedule for the convenience of all involved.

SRC VERIFIES MEDICAL RECORDS AND ASSISTS THE OWNER IN FINDING A GOOD HOME FOR THEIR SCHNAUZER DUE TO THEIR SPECIFIC NEED TO PLACE THEIR SCHNAUZER IN A GOOD HOME WITH SRC ASSISTANCE. SRC WILL COVER THEM WITH OUR ADOPTION CONTRACT AND WILL PROVIDE A MICRO-CHIP FOR THESE DOGS HOWEVER WE DO NOT EVALUATE THEM AND DO NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR THEIR MEDICAL NEEDS.
All SRC volunteers strive to do this for the well-being of their rescued canine and to assure a successful adoption. It is our worthy mission to assure that each canine rescued by SRC is placed in a loving, stable and permanent home whose family members will treat as a beloved member of their immediate family. We are prepared to assure that our rescued dogs are in great homes or we will reclaim them if necessary.
BEFORE meeting an SRC dog, you must be approved to adopt. Our downloadable Adoption Application is on our web site at schnauzerrescueofthecarolinas.org and may be submitted via email or fax (1-910-401-1317). You may request an Adoption Application to email address: adoptions@schnauzerrescueofthecarolinas.org
Upon receipt of your application, a vet reference check will be done and if the vet check is satisfactory then a home visit will be done. The entire process normally takes three to seven days, depending on your location.
Please plan on welcoming your new dog into your home within two weeks after approval. We are not able to hold dogs because this limits our intake of others in need; SRC adopt them out on a first-come, first-serve basis based on a completed approved adoption process.
SRC does not ordinarily adopt its dogs to families with children under ten years of age. Exceptions are sometimes made on a case by case basis but only when the dog has been raised with children and the children are very respectful of animals. This is for the protection of the dogs and for the protection of the children.
Procedures will be explained to you at the time of approval regarding donation and contract. Your donation is in honor of the adoption of your new family companion and is not a purchase of an animal. This tax deductible donation goes forward to help incoming rescued dogs. Our average expenses per dog include but are not limited to the expenses shown below.
