If you are looking for a sweet, quiet girl with a gentle soul, you will want to meet Shae! Shae is only two-years-old and is a playful and sweet girl. She loves to entertain herself with toys and will happily toss them up in the air and chase them around for hours. She absolutely loves laser pointer sessions! Shae shows her affection in her own unique way - she’ll come to you for pets, nudge you with her head, and occasionally lay beside you. She is content sleeping at the foot of the bed, preferring to stay at a safe distance for now. Shae may not be ready to be picked up or curl up in your lap just yet, but with time and patience, we believe she has the potential to be a lap cat. She’s still learning to trust, and her adopter will need to give her the space she needs to feel comfortable. Shae is a beautiful work in progress, and with the right person, she’ll continue to grow in confidence. Shae is not aggressive at all and if she hisses, it just seems to be her way of communicating. Shae has grown tremendously in her foster home, but will still need a quiet, calm environment where she can feel safe and secure, without other pets or young children.

Shae came to us from Animal Services as a pregnant stray. She was a great mom to her babies, but now it’s her turn to continue to grow in her forever home at last.

She is an ideal match for someone who enjoys helping a shy, yet sweet, cat come out of her shell. Shae just needs extra love and time to reveal the wonderful cat she can be!
