Lady is a terrier/ lab mix who is around a year old and weighs 50 lbs. She is crate trained and housebroken. Lady gets along with other dogs but does not live with a cat. So we are not sure how she will do living with a cat. She has been around children and did fine. If a child is very young, ideally the child should have experience living with a dog.
Lady does well on her leash walks and doesn't require a fenced yard. But I am sure she would like one! What dog doesn't?! She can have a lot of energy and would welcome living with an active family who gives her plenty of exercise.
She is not very vocal, so could live in an apartment as long as she got enough exercise and outdoor time. She loves cuddling with her human and is very loving. Could Lady come and cuddle in your home?
EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Lady had a very rough start in her short life so far. She was found as a stray and taken in by a kind lady. She ended up having Parvo and was very sick. She battled that disease and then found her way into BFPA. We are now searching for a forever home for Lady.

Applicants must live no further than one hour from Cary NC as our dogs must be seen by a BFPA veterinarian for all medical care prior to adoptions being finalized. Our foster guardians deliver dogs to their new homes for adoption trials and we do home visits to finalize all adoptions. We therefore require applicants to live within an hours drive of Cary NC.
