Hi! My name is Beignet! I am a beautiful 5 year old girl that is settling into my foster home and I'm looking for my forever home! I am currently learning the ropes of home life. My foster mom is working with me to learn basic commands but the only one I've learned is "sit" and that is only if I see a treat heading my way! I'm not sure how to play with toys and when a ball is thrown for me, I will run to it and then look at it. I appear to be dog friendly and get along with the regularly visiting American bulldog and a friend's 3 male dogs. I enjoy their companionship and would benefit from another dog companion. I have had exposure to older kids and am very gentle. I ride well in the car and sleep most of the time. I visit the local park and although I am interested in the ducks, I do not try to chase them. I enjoy going for walks and every day when my foster mom comes home from work, I have pulled my leash off the table and am patiently waiting. While my foster mom is at work, I stay uncrated and am non destructive. I am house trained, crate trained, and doggy door trained! I have been caught counter surfing to see what food the humans are hiding from me, but I stopped as soon as my foster mom told me no. I enjoy being outside and tried once to dig and see what was under the grass but responded well to correction and stopped immediately when told to do so. If you think I would make a great addition to your family, contact the rescue and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!
