My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ollie! He is an 2 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 45 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Ollie is fearful of strangers! No younger children, or cats, due to his reactivity! He is hostile around the dogs inside of the home, but is good with dogs at daycare and outside of the home! He hasn’t been tested around older children. He is housebroken and crate-trained. Ollie is given fluoxetine for his anxiety when he is in stressful situations.

He bit one of the owner’s friends on their rear end and then ran way. He also bit another one of the owner’s friends on the shoulder and ran away. These incidents occurred while the friends were inside of the owner’s home. He also nipped a friend’s roommate while the friend was watching him inside of their home. The owner is surrendering him because he has fear aggression towards strangers and younger children.

Ollie is truly a gem for the right home. He’s an incredible walking and running partner — calm, focused, and respectful on the leash, even when passing other dogs and people. Whether it’s a 7-mile run or a daily walk, he’s always up for it and makes the perfect exercise buddy. At home, Ollie is the definition of chill. He’s content snuggling on the couch, soaking up love from his people, and being a calm, quiet companion. He’s incredibly smart and picks up new tricks in just a day or two. He’s also crate trained, fully potty trained, and thrives with a predictable routine. Ollie has so much love to give — he just needs a home that understands his needs and can offer him the safe, structured environment where he truly shines.
