My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB 25-Apr-2024

Jerry & Merlin are being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved.

Meet Jerry (a.k.a. Jer) - Your Friendly Feline Companion!

Hello! My name is Jerry, but my friends call me Jer. I'm a charming one-year-old cat with a loving personality, looking for my forever home- with my little brother/best friend, Merlin!

Although I may seem a bit shy at first, give me a little time to warm up, and soon enough, I'll be your faithful shadow, following you from room to room, eager to be a part of your daily activities. Whether you're working from home or settling down for an evening of TV, I'll be right there by your side- close enough to keep you company, but not too close to disrupt your space. Don't be offended, but Merlin & I love to cuddle up & groom each other.

Mealtime is my favorite time, and I'm not picky about food! I celebrate every meal with joyous enthusiasm. When it comes to drinking, I've developed a preference for sipping from a fountain, a little luxury that my foster mom introduced me to.

I adore playing with Merlin & all kinds of toys—wands, lasers, you name it! If there's fun to be had, count me in. And while it might take me a little while to trust new faces, I absolutely love little kids. Once we're buddies, I'll shower them with kisses and cuddles.

At night, I might get a bit vocal if I can't find Merlin or my humans, but as soon as I know we're all together, I settle down, content and pleased.

Merlin and I have been through so much together. We dream of finding a home where we can grow old together, continuing our antics and charming our new family. We both have a cute habit of blepping—just a little bit of tongue peeking out when we're relaxed or deep in thought. It's guaranteed to make you swoon!

If you're looking for a loving, playful companion (or two, with Merlin by my side), please consider making me a part of your family. I promise to bring joy, companionship, and lots of purrs to your home. Thanks for considering me and my buddy Merlin! We can't wait to meet you and start our new adventure together.

Thank you for giving two best friends a loving home together! Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair is $175 per cat, versus our standard fee of $225 per adult cat.
