Mr. Green is a male black with tan dachshund mix puppy. His DOB is 2/6/2025 and he weighs about 4.5 pounds (as of 3/31/25). Mr. Green is ready for adoption having had two sets of puppy vaccines and deworming.

Mr. Green is a puppy of Cinnamon, Valentine #16, a beautiful chocolate and tan dachshund mix about 18 lbs who was surrendered to a local shelter on Valentine's Day along with 15 other adults, her puppies, and one other litter, all from the same home. Cinnamon has the sweetest, most easy going nature and did a great job with her puppies. All the dogs in the home were between 5-18 lbs, chihuahuas, dachshund mixes, and a small scruffy terrier. Among these would be the dad of the puppy.

Mr. Green is a busy body who likes to be in the middle of anything that’s happening. His pictures do not do justice to how cute he is with his stocky build and intelligent face. Mr. Green is a happy-go-lucky little dude but he never misses a thing.

The adopter will be responsible for completing the appropriate vaccinations and continuing the puppy on heartworm preventive. The adopter must spay the puppy by 6 months of age at their own expense and provide documentation to the rescue.

We require all potential adopters to submit an application. We only accept applications for a specific dog you are interested in adopting. We do not keep waiting lists or files of general applications for dogs we might get later. The online application can be found at this location:

A completed adoption application and, upon approval, an adoption contract is required. Jeff Tarpley Rescue welcomes applications from homeowners, renters, and condo or apartment dwellers. At a minimum, a phone interview will be conducted and a vet reference checked before the applicant may meet their preferred pet.

We adopt primarily in the 4 states of the ArkLaTexOma. Applicants willing to travel to Texarkana will also be considered with additional requirements to qualify as approved.
