Meet Scrappy, a one-year-old, 15-pound Poodle/Schnauzer mix with a story that proves just how resilient dogs can be. This little guy was found wandering the streets of Phoenix, matted and messy, wearing a grimy Scooby Doo T-shirt—a sure sign he’d been living the “ruff” life for a while. Thankfully, a kind-hearted Samaritan brought him to safety, and now Scrappy is on the lookout for a forever home.
Despite his rough start, Scrappy is as friendly and playful as they come. He’s quickly become a favorite among staff and volunteers, charming everyone with his sweet personality and happy spirit. He may have been scrappy on the streets, but he’s all heart now—and he’d love nothing more than to be your new best friend.
Scrappy is a Guardian Angel dog with a $300 adoption fee. These special pups are in high demand, and their increased fee helps offset the costs of caring for rescues with special medical or behavioral needs—or those who stay with us longer than expected.
His adoption fee includes neutering, age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
