Hi, It's a pleasure to meet you! I'm Augustus, and I'm the strong but silent type. I'm learning how amazing it is to have a cozy home and human family. I promise with a little patience that you'll see I'm secretly a cuddle bug. You'll see I get so happy when you pet me that I knead my blankets. And that I especially love head scratches and really lean into them - I might even stand on my tiptoes to reach in for more! I'll also tap my toes in excitement when I see you coming over to me after you've been out :)

It takes a wee bit of time for me to get comfy with new places and people. And, I may have a gruff exterior until I adjust. As I do, maybe think of me like a kitty motion-sensor who keeps everyone safe by sometimes grumbling when someone's close. So I may hiss if people pass close by while I'm having quiet time or if I don't know them very well. But there's a lot of warmth in my heart if you have a gentle, slow approach. And I promise, when I let you into my heart, it will be a special bond that lasts forever!

I'm looking for a family who will be patient with me and let me take my time to adjust please. Change is scary, but I know we can get through anything together!
