Dante is an energetic, playful and loving, 3-year-old Labrador retriever mix looking for his forever home. He is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and is micro chipped. He is a strong and healthy boy who would thrive in a household where he can get sufficient physical activity and mental stimulation. He loves the outdoors, enjoys going for long walks and exploring the world by your side. He is house trained and potty trained. Knows his basic commands. Nondestructive when left alone, knows his boundaries at home. He is good on the leash and responds well to commands when out on his walks. He is currently working on perfecting his leash manners and is crate training. Dante loves his humans, whether it is going on walks, following you all over the house or watching you work while lying on his doggy bed, he just can't get enough. He is a very smart and intelligent dog and is highly trainable. He is good with children and smaller dogs. He responds very well to positive reinforcement. He is motivated by praise and pets and less motivated by food. Good at conveying his thoughts and needs. Rides well in a car.
Adorable Dante is still learning the ropes when it comes to playing with toys, he’s a smart boy who just needs a little guidance. Dante is reactive and gets a little excited by large dogs and strangers but is actively working on his behavior and making great strides every day. He needs an understanding and patient family who can help keep up his training and manage this behavior. With the right guidance, Dante can focus his energy on being the loving and loyal companion he is meant to be.
Dante is looking for a loving household with adults and children who can keep up with his playful energy and give him the love he deserves. He would prefer a home with a lawn or backyard so he can safely expend some of his energy and satisfy his curiosity.
