My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Bulbasaur, and I'm a 10-month-old brown tabby with a personality as vibrant as my name suggests! I'm an adventurous little explorer who loves to voice my thoughts—let's just say I have a lot to say! My favorite pastime is zooming around and turning every corner into my own personal racetrack. Toys? Oh boy, do I love toys! You'll want to stock up on all sorts of fun playthings to keep me entertained. Just watch out—once I get started, I might show you just how wild and silly I can be! While I love people and all the attention you can give me, I do prefer to be the star of the show and might not get along with other kittens. I’m looking for a loving home where I can be your one and only furry companion, and where I can bask in all the cuddles and affection I can get. If you're ready for a fun-loving, playful buddy who will keep you on your toes, I might just be the purr-fect fit for you! I am available for adoption at PetSmart Rockwall located at 931 E Interstate 30 Rockwall, TX 75087. For more information about me, please email cats@frastx.org.

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. FRAs was founded in 2004 by 4 volunteers who wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter. Our organization has grown to over 300 volunteers, and with this growth, we now support two municipal shelters -- Rowlett, TX and Garland, TX – and operate our own cat rescue program.

Our mission is to provide resources, programs and education to promote adoption and care of homeless pets in our community. FRAs’ vision is a world where every companion animal has a safe and loving forever home. We are a 100% all volunteer run organization, and our ability to help homeless animals depends on donations from the community and grant funding.

Our organizational programs include operating the volunteer program for both shelters, providing funding for heartworm treatments and emergency medical care, accepting cats from the shelter and citizens into our foster-based cat rescue, supporting TNR/SNR efforts for community cats and most recently funding dog transport initiatives. Our volunteers spend thousands of hours socializing and marketing the animals for adoption, which increases the number of animals with a positive outcome. FRAs has helped countless pets avoid euthanasia, find their forever homes and live longer, healthier lives.
