This helps Animal Rescue League of Iowa Inc. with pet care costs.
HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org or Carol at cgriglione@arl-iowa.org.
- Sweet, gentle, loving cat
- Once she is comfortable with you, she is a serious lap cat - she will snuggle in, make biscuits and take a long nap
- Likes to explore her surroudings and will roll around playing with toys
- Declawed on all four paws
- May enjoy another calm, gentle cat friend in her home to keep her company, after a slow introduction to the cat
- Is not a fan of dogs and needs a home without them
- Is not a good fit for children (they are just too much for her), so she is looking for a calm home with adults only
- Looking for a home with patient family members who will give her time to open up and let her take things at her own pace. She does best when she starts out in her own room and is slowly introduced to the rest of the house
- Has a lot of love to give and will be a wonderful companion for a quiet person or two who will allow her to settle in at her own slow pace. It took about a week for her to become comfortable with her foster family, so plan on giving her a few weeks in her new home, too. She is worth the wait!
-Will be a wonderful friend for a calm, patient person who loves the quiet life just like she does
All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
