My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOCATED IN WATERLOO REGION, ON
DOB: 5 June 2024
Microchipped

Meowzart and his bestie Mewtley Crue are sweet boys who had a rough start. They came to Toronto Cat Rescue from an overcrowded apartment and had limited social skills. Since arriving in foster care, they have learned that human touch is nice, back scratches feel good and toys are fun. They now love playing on the cat tree and enjoy batting around little plastic spring toys.

These brothers are a bonded pair and need to stay together. They have their own little sounds they use to talk to each other, and rub against each other for comfort. Mewtley Crue is the more social one and comes to you for pets, while Meowzart watches from a close distance and will allow pets while eating.

Their adopter needs to understand that they need time to decompress and to trust that everything is safe - they need someone who is patient and kind. Food seems to be the way to their hearts so the adopter should continue their socialization through food and play.

Loud noises or sudden movements cause them to run so a quieter household with older children or no children would be best. They have not been tested with dogs.

Thank you for giving two best friends a loving home together! Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair is $175 per cat, versus our standard fee of $225 per adult cat.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fee is $225 per adult cat, and $300 for kittens (under 8 months old).

This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!

Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $225.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $175 per cat vs. $225 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
