Meet Maverick, a 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair male cat with a gentle soul and a quiet demeanor. Maverick is a bit shy and may take some time to warm up to new faces, but once he feels comfortable, he’ll become your most loyal companion. He’s looking for a calm and peaceful home where he can take his time adjusting and find a space to relax. If you`re patient and willing to give Maverick the time he needs, he’ll reward you with his sweet and affectionate nature. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment ONLY. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via email at jcas@co.johnson.in.us or call 317-738-6090 during regular business hours. We will happily help get an application to you. Once an application is submitted and approved, we can contact you to set an appointment to meet the pet!

Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs, $75 for kittens under 6 months of age and $50 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration, and all other age appropriate vaccinations.

More about this shelter

We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
