Cutie is a former puppy mill mama. She has lived in a confined space with little positive socialization prior to coming into our rescue. She is timid and scared at first but is gaining in confidence daily!
Cutie is still learning the ways of being a free dog and just being a normal dog. She can be a little overwhelmed with sudden movements and noises. She follows the foster's dogs around and is learning a lot about being a house dog from them. She is good with the kids that live in the home.
Cutie has discovered the wonders of toys and she likes to hoard them on her dog bed. At night she can be heard playing with a toy in her kennel. Her favorite treats are grilled chicken and foster mom used them to gain Cutie's trust in the beginning.
Cutie will need a canine teacher in her new home that she can continue to learn from. She is considered a flight risk and a secure physical fenced yard is also required.
Cuties adoption is $400. She will be spayed April 17th and can go home a few days after. She is current on vaccines, microchipped and on monthly flea and heartworm prevention. Visit leiashope.org for next steps.

All of our dogs are in foster homes and a meet and greet is done ONLY after an approved application.
We do adopt out of the area. However, we do not ship or provide transportation. You must come to the location of the dog to meet and adopt. NO EXCEPTION. All family members and dogs must be present at the meet.
Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
