Meet Samantha – Straight Outta Compton
Samantha has come a long way and is now in Portland, OR.
This three-legged Mini Boxer may have had a rough start on the streets of Compton, CA, but she is ready for a life of comforts and love! Before we rescued her, Samantha was hit by a car and suffered some injuries that led to the loss of her leg—but don’t worry, she hasn’t let that slow her down - much!

Now fully vetted (spayed, vaccinated, and healing beautifully), Samantha is ready to find her forever home.

Quick Facts:

Around 1 to 1.5 years old

Weighs about 40 lbs

90% potty trained (probably even closer to 100% by now!)

Athletic, even on three legs

Loves people and bonds deeply with her humans

This little survivor is all about togetherness—whether you’re chilling on the couch or heading out for a walk, she wants to be right there with you. In fact, she once hopped right over a 3.5-foot fence just to get to one of her rescuers. Talk about loyalty!

Samantha enjoys other dogs and loves to play, especially with pups who match her energy. She is also great around chill dogs who prefer to be left alone.

She does guard her space and food a bit from other dogs (a totally understandable quirk we’ll help you work through with positive reinforcement training).

She’s not a fan of cold weather, loves to chase the hose, and thinks that a cozy couch is the best thing ever.
