Meet Ellie – The Sweetest Little Low-Rider! Foster Virginia Beach

Ellie is a 2-year-old, 13-pound Maltipoo with a dash of Dachshund, giving her that adorable long body and short little legs. She’s a calm, loving, and ridiculously sweet pup who wants nothing more than to cuddle, lounge on the couch, and sleep in bed with her people.

Ellie’s Must-Haves:
✔️ Physically able adopter – Ellie loves to be carried and is very low to the ground, so her adopter must be able to bend over, pick her up easily, and carry her comfortably.
✔️ No young children (under 8) – Her long spine makes her prone to injuries, so this is a strict safety requirement.
✔️ No dog parks—public or private – She needs a small fenced-in yard or an enclosed private patio with grass for potty breaks.
✔️ Small dog companions only – Any canine friends must be under 45 lbs to prevent accidental injuries.
✔️ No crates – Ellie is not a fan of confinement. She prefers cuddling with her people and having multiple cozy beds to choose from.
✔️ Bed stairs are required – Jumping down from furniture is risky for her spine.
✔️ Routine grooming (every 6-8 weeks) – She was severely matted, so we need an adopter who will keep up with her coat care.

Ellie loves cat poop (like, way too much), so she needs a home where:
