Tiny Acrobat, Big Heart, Zero Chill About Cages Hi, I’m Rainbow Kitten Surprise—but you can just call me Rainbow, or “the little white blur somersaulting for your love.”
I’m about a year and a half old and barely six pounds, but don’t let my size fool you—I’ve got enough personality to fill a whole room. I came from a home with way too many cats, and while I grew up with feline friends, what I really want now is you.
I hate being stuck in this cage. Like, hate it. I’ll tumble, twist, and do full-on acrobatics just to get a second of your attention. I'm not subtle. I'm not chill. I am desperate to be in your arms, where I feel safe and warm and exactly where I belong.
I’m vocal—I'll tell you all about my day (and then ask about yours). I’m affectionate, super social, and ready to be someone’s little shadow. My fur is soft and snowy white, and my bright blue eyes? Total show-stoppers.
I’m the tiniest one in my group, but I’ve got the biggest feelings. I don’t want to live life behind bars—I want to be in your lap, your arms, your home. So come scoop me up. I’m ready to be your surprise ending. An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $250.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice. Cats and kittens are a donation of choice.

At DeKalb Humane Society, we are passionate about finding forever homes for the pets in our care. Whether they are cats, dogs, or other furry friends, our mission is to provide them with a loving and nurturing environment.
We also believe in the importance of education about responsible pet ownership. We strive to educate our community about pet welfare, the benefits of spaying/neutering, and the prevention of animal abuse and neglect.
By adopting a pet from us, you are not only gaining a lifetime companion, but you are also contributing to our cause and helping us raise awareness. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these innocent animals.
The DeKalb Humane Society filed for our Certificate of Incorporation on December 23, 1975 and we were granted 501(c)3 status in March of 1976. We are committed to being a no-kill shelter and serving the DeKalb County area.
