My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate Date of Birth: 5/1/2023

Description:

Looking for a dashing gentleman to brighten your days? I’m Drogon, a handsome, intelligent, and sweet cat who’s ready to find my forever home. I’ll charm you with my striking looks, impress you with my cleverness, and melt your heart with my cuddles. Adopt me, and I promise to be your loyal best friend for life!

Words to Describe Me: Smart, Playful, Sweet, Affectionate

Favorite Place to Sleep: Box in cat tree

Favorite Toy: Toy where he has to flip switches to get treats

Perfect Day: Give a greeting to parent, treat on top of breakfast, playtime, then nap

Kitty's Likes: Head scratches

Kitty's Dislikes: Hear loud noises

Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Giving affection

Favorite Treat: Churu

Job Title in Foster: Master of Treat Dispenser

When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: Engineer

Other Info: It takes a couple of days for Drogon to get used to you. He may open mouth as if to hiss, but a hiss may barely come out or not at all. Point being he is just a big lovable baby and not aggresive once he comes out of his shell. Although he and Daenerys are not litter mates, they are very close and enjoy each others company.

  • Good with Cats: Loves cats.

  • Good with Dogs: Unknown

  • Good with Children: Unknown, but optimistic (Animal has not met any children.)

  • Companion Animal: Requires a feline companion always.

Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age.

Adoption Process:   Our adoptable animals are located at one of our adoption centers or in foster homes. We require interested parties to apply prior to meeting to ensure a good match. Applications can be submitted on our website at  www.savingonelife.org/adopt/apply.

Additional adoption info

We will adopt to out of state adopters but we do NOT ship animals under any conditions. You must come to us in person to meet the animal and make sure it is a mutual match. We have had many adopters come from the states around us and drive or fly with their new family member back.

Go meet their pets

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
