My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charlie is a cute 10-year old male Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on March 27, 2025 by the Washington County Ohio Dog Warden after he had been picked up on State Route 555 in the Cutler Ohio area. Charlie was not wearing a collar, and he was not microchipped.

Charlie has a black/brown short smooth coat, a long tail, and an adorable frosty face with dark brown eyes, a slender muzzle, and large erect ears.

This senior citizen appears to be vision-impaired which understandably makes him a bit apprehensive being in an unfamiliar environment. Charlie was easily startled when touched and picked up .. But HSOV Shelter Manager Tracy Lynn Moore quickly gained his trust and was able to hold him for a few quick photos shortly after he arrived.

We took a few more photos of Charlie after he was settled into his large floor cage which was filled with soft warm blankets and our kennel techs had served his dinner.

Charlie weighs 20 lbs and is a petite little guy.

In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Charlie will be held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family will have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Surely someone is missing this cute older guy.

Happy Update: Charlie went home with a fabulous foster mother on June 10, 2025 who plans to adopt him after he is neutered.

Charlie was neutered by his foster family's veterinarian and was officially adopted on August 7, 2025.
