My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hayden! Hayden is an 8-year-old Cocker Spaniel who may be blind, but that doesn’t slow him down one bit! Weighing around 30 pounds, this smart and resilient boy has learned his way around both the house and yard, using his incredible nose as his guide. He loves standing outside, taking in all the scents around him.

Hayden is mostly potty trained when kept on a schedule and does well without a crate when left alone. At night, he sleeps like a log! He gets along well with other dogs and, when he hears the sounds of play, he’s ready to jump right in. However, his absolute favorite thing is snuggling up with his people. He’s an affectionate, loving pup—a true doll baby!

If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly companion, Hayden is your guy! Apply to adopt him at ITVrescue.org.

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.

More about this shelter

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
