We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 3/29/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Doug to our trip for the right home 💕
Meet Doug 💙 He is a handsome purebred shih tzu. He weighs 8.6 pounds. Yes, he is full grown and at a very healthy weight. He is 2 years of age. He is neutered, current on all vaccines, microchipped, has been thourely examined by our vet, and has offically been cleared to find a home all his own ❤️
Yes, his tounge on occasion sticks out 😂 he has his teeth, so it has nothing to do with "lack of teeth from holding it inside" it's just a little quirk of his ☺️ I think it's adorable, and no! It's not all the time, but it is something he does so I've made sure to attach photos of his cute self showing just how precious he is being exactly who he is 😊
He is AMAZING!!!! Literally the best friend you hope and pray you are blessed to have at least once in your lifetime. He is fun!!! So much fun!! He is quirky and full of life 💕 He is kind hearted, and beautifully tempered. He loves having one paw on you when you drive, and yes! He LOVES road trips! He is always ready to hit the road and join you in every and any venture the road leads you on especially because he gets to do it with his favorite person in the whole world!!!
He is WONDERFUL with all animals. Dogs, cats, and even lived with a friendly bunny in his prior home that he loves hanging with especially to watch tv 🙃 He loves watching a good show 😊
He is phenomenal with people! Men, women, and children alike!!! He has a heart so big that you can see the love inside radiating from within ready and anxiously waiting to pour into someone in need of it!
Doug, my sweet friend ❤️ He is so very deserving of a home and friend/family that will give him the same beautiful love and companionship that he will give in return. He is EASY to LOVE!!
He is NOT high energy whatsoever!! He sure does love a good toy, as he has a very soft playful side to him. So if you are busy tending to your day, or working near by on your computer he will simply grab his favorite plushie and lounge on his bed until you are ready to join him again!
He gives snuggle sessions MEANING!!! He is the ultimate cuddle partner. He loves being close when able to, and being curled up in your arms is definitely a place he is excited to make it to, anytime day or night!!!!
He is NOT a barker, but will talk to you when he needs something. He is very good at communicating his needs. If he is in the crate and needs to go outside he will stand up and wait to lock eyes with you, and then let out a soft bark to let him out. He is very patient, and always waits for his person to be around to ask them for whatever it is he needs.
He is crate trained, and currently sleeps in his crate at night or to sometimes nap in during the day. He has NO problem being in his crate, and is always happy for bed no matter where it is. He is a very confident and content little guy. If you wanted to have him on a dog bed in your room, or in bed with you I'm sure there will be zero arguement on his end and he will be excited to hear that bedtime means more time with his best friend 💙
He is doing amazing at going outside every 3-4 hours without having any accidents inbetween. We reccomend the same routine in his next home, so that he knows he can count on you to make sure his needs are met, but don't worry he will remind you if he needs to 🙃
Leash time is going pretty great!!! He really loves to go on walks, to explore the neighborhood and meet new friends along the way. He listens very well, and doesn't pull, or walk to far ahead unless there is a smell he just needs to investigate of course!
He is wonderful at the groomers, and LOVES a good spa day especially when he gets to come home to show off his new handsome look 😊
His prior owner was very young. He was a gift to her when she graduated highschool and with her now starting college, she just couldn't commit to his happiness moving forward. She made a very selfless decision in wanting to find him a home and human to give him the life she knew he deserved so she contacted us to do just that 😊

It covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip/registration, and full exam with our vet which covered his ears and teeth which were both in great health. It also covers the care involved in his time with us here, his grooming costs, and his training we have personally done with him 💙
