Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Charlotte is a classic tortoiseshell with a personality as bold as her beautiful, mottled coat. She’s got that signature torti-tude—a perfect mix of sass and charm—complete with a look that says, “I’m in charge here.” She loves lounging in the sun like the queen she is, accepting pets on her terms, and ruling her domain with a flick of her tail. One moment she’s purring sweetly, the next she’s giving you the look if you dare interrupt her nap. Independent yet affectionate, Charlotte knows exactly what she wants—and she’ll make sure you know it too!

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
