Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I named her Shadow because she follows me every where and just wants to be by me. She alerts me if there is a bug of any kind in my apartment. My daughter has a yorkie and when he comes over, she is fine with him. When my 2 year grandson comes over, she hides. When my daughter or frieds comes over, she sniffs their feet. She loves her cat bed, stuffed animals and toys. I would say her favorite toys are her balls. She loves playing with them. She loves sitting in the window seal, watching the birds and my neighbors. She is very curious.
If interested, contact Sheila at sheila.suek@yahoo.com or (409) 782-9141

Additional adoption info
To confirm an animal's location, please call the shelter 409-833-0504 to ask if an animal is at the shelter or in foster care. We work really hard to ensure each pet goes into a home that is the best fit for them and the new family. This is why a session with a Matchmaker is required. Adoptions are on a first approved basis.

Originally formed as the Humane Educational Council of Southeast Texas in 1962, the primary focus was to educate the public on animal care and compassion. In 1981, our name changed to Humane Society of Southeast Texas (HSSET) but our goals and values remain the same. HSSET is devoted to building a better community for both pets and people through education programs and setting a new standard for companion animal care.
The HSSET is a non-profit, 501(c)3 charitable organization run entirely on grants, donor contributions, community volunteers, and a lot of love.
Our shelter is a limited intake no-kill facility serving not only the City of Beaumont, but the entire Southeast Texas region.
