Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please read our adoption policies BEFORE inquiring to adopt a pet. If you wish to meet a pet shown here, please submit a letter of introduction via email to Idahocoondog@yahoo.com
describing the home you can provide. Please include such things as if you own or rent and what type of fencing you have. If no fencing include acreage. Also describe other pets and children in the home . Check your spam folder for replies.
Keep in mind, we are two women with full time jobs, we volunteer to run this Rescue and foster these dogs in our homes. We have families and farms of our own we take care of as well. We will give you all the time we can but, ask for your patience and attention to detail to make the application process flow smoothly and as quickly as possible.
Sweet Lou is a 2 1/2 yr old spayed female purebred. Probably a Queensland Heeler, as she is very tiny. Just at 25 #s, and 14" at the shoulder. She is a timid gal, not boisterous or confident. She takes a minute to warm up to new people, but is not nippy or anything like that. She is more of a bolter, then a stand her ground type. She circles right back though and is attention seeking. Once she bonds with her new person she will be an amazing companion. She is fine with other dogs, but doesn't engage. She's afraid of most of them and afraid of the cat, but he's nearly as big as her! She is quiet, hasn't barked once since she got here. She came from an over crowed shelter in Southern UT after the family of her deceased elderly owner dumped her the at the time of her passing.
