Meet Zillex
I’m Zillex (“Lex”), a big-hearted, 5-year-old mantle Great Dane gal with natural ears eagerly awaiting my forever family. I am a big bundle of love and absolute sweetheart. I love my toys and will pull every single one out of my basket and play with all of them! I will ask you to play with me sometimes because I do like some attention when my humans are home. But I can also entertain myself a lot of the time.
I really enjoy being outside. Playing ball with my humans can be fun – mixed with a few good zoomies - but I will also just sniff around and maybe chill in the sun for a bit on my own in the yard. I also enjoy long walks but tend to pull when I get excited. We’re working on this and I am a good listener. I can be a little loud when first meeting other large dogs and will likely need slow introductions to other dog friends.
I am well trained in the house – I go outside for potty, I don’t counter surf and I don’t beg for food. I do love a little ground chicken or ground turkey mixed in with my kibble. I can do sit, stay, paw and down – for a treat, of course.
I am a protector so I will bark at passers-by or knocks on the door. But otherwise, I am a very lovable lady who appreciates some good hugs, a great neck rub, and kisses from my humans.
I have lived with another canine, a female pittie and we were great together, but I need time to get to know new dogs, so I would need time to adjust to a new canine sibling. I am looking for my forever home, and once I am spayed I hope that will happen soon.
