Animal Profile: Tyler is an adorable ~2 year old, 8 lb Chihuahua/Spaniel mix (best guess) who was rescued from a high kill shelter in San Bernardino, along with his buddy Tate. Both dogs were wagging their tails and accepting pets/affection in their shelter video. They arrived in Seattle on 3/16/25.
Foster Update: Tyler is a happy, friendly boy who would like nothing better than to curl up in your lap. He is playful and gets along well with my resident dog. He knows his name and sit, and we are working on him not jumping up. He is potty and crate trained, and quiet in his crate at bedtime, but does cry a little when I leave the house. Not for long though ... he stops in about 10 minutes. He loves his food, is a good eater, and he's good on a leash. He will be a great dog for someone, even a first dog, although he does have mild separation anxiety.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, andhealth certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
