My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Tairn!

Male    DOB: Estimated Oct 2022

Tairn's backstory involves him being rescued in December when he became trapped by a house owner attempting to relocate a raccoon. The house owner, experienced with feral cats, enrolled him into a pet finishing program. After receiving veterinary care and gradually being introduced to a home environment, Tairn has adapted to indoor living and is sociable, vocal, energetic, and seeks companionship.

Tairn, a dapper, mini panther with sleek short black fur, gorgeous green eyes and a gentle nature. He exhibits many positive traits despite his brief exposure to humans. He enjoys petting, neck scratches, lap time, and prefers physical contact when beside someone. He often walks across and sits or stands on humans. He leans, head bumps, winds around human legs, and follows people everywhere! .

Tairn communicates using trills and soft meows. He may be skittish around new people or loud sounds but is becoming more confident daily. He is gentle and tolerates young children who approach him slowly. His interactions with dogs are untested, and he interacts well with other cats although alpha behavior can trigger similar responses from him.

Tairn is attentive and follows people for conversation and company. He is learning to play with wand toys and enjoys playing chase with other cats. He does not fully understand the laser light yet and sometimes finds window-watching fear-inducing. He likes tall cat trees, being up high, and receiving pets and head bumps. He is progressively becoming comfortable with being picked up and held.

Tairn enjoys Churu treat tubes which aid in nail-clipping. He invites belly rubs but may playfully grab if he still wants attention. He gently grabs fingers without pressing hard.

Tairn would benefit from a family that is interactive and physically affectionate. He craves the attention, and his bond to humans has become the center point of his happiness. That, and the Churu!
