Here's what the humans have to say about me:
"A dog will teach you unconditional love." This makes us think of our sweet Duke.
Why we love him: Duke is such a gentle, good natured dog who is so friendly and loving.
Duke is 18 months old and weighs 70 pounds.
Duke's easygoing personality endears him to everyone he meets.
He ambles contentedly at your side on daily walks and enjoys exploring the beautiful trails on our shelter grounds. Once he is done, Duke loves to sit next to you on a bench for pets and treats. We truly treasure his company. He is so good natured and congenial!
He also looks forward to outings in the fenced yard.
Duke is a bright dog who wants to please and has already learned to sit for the reward of a treat.
A first grade class from our local elementary school recently visited the shelter and met Duke. One of our volunteers reports: "I brought Duke out to be our doggie model he couldn’t have done a better job! Duke sat and laid down for treats while students tried to draw him and things he might like. I was super proud of my buddy!"
Due will be such a fun and loyal companion!
His brother, Pluto, is also available for adoption.
