NOT YET TAKING APPLICATIONS – NOT YET AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION

NEW INTAKE 3/24/2025

OHIO NAMED PUPS:

Medina and Dayton have same father as other litter - different mothers.  All pups are Dachshund/Chihuahua mixes

Medina (female) Dayton (male) - approx DOB 12/24/2024

Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Springfield, Toledo and Wooster:

Approx DOB February 10, 2025.

Reason for intake:  We were contacted by a rescue friend about some pups that needed help.  We made contact with the owner and while speaking with her, she indicated she not only had the six pups, but she also had two older pups.  She IS getting all adults spayed/neutered.  Both litters have different fathers, but the mother is the same.  Both will need to go through two rounds of vaccinations before they can leave.  The older pups will go to the vet in two weeks for spaying and neutering before they can leave.  Stay tuned!

NOT TAKING APPLICATIONS:  Many dogs, particularly breeder, hoarder or senior dogs, can have multiple medical issues that need addressed.  Additionally, sometimes we take in young puppies requiring multiple vaccinations and/or quarantining.   In this particular case, we are not yet taking applications either due to age or possible illness or some other reason.  We will post when s(he) is ready for adoption.  In the interest of fairness, EARLY application submissions will NOT be considered.  Please note…  we cannot respond to messages/emails, etc., on dogs that are NOT yet available for adoption.  Please wait until the dog is available for adoption.  We will post him or her on Facebook in our Adoptable Dog Album pinned to the top of our page which you can follow at this link:  https://www.facebook.com/share/1B46skRWF5/ OR you can keep checking our website at www.roadtorescuela.org.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.”  ~ Gandhi

Be responsible ~  Always spay/neuter, keep your dogs on heartworm prevention, vaccinate against disease... and if you bring a pet into your life, commit to that pet for life.  Blessings.
