While she isn’t a fan of petting at this time, she is actively working on desensitization and counter-conditioning to help her feel more comfortable. With patience and the right approach, she’s sure to learn how to trust and love her humans.

Butternut is incredibly smart—she knows target training, learning to sit on cue and more fun tricks. She is highly food-motivated, which makes training sessions a joy. She would do best in a home that appreciates her independent, intelligent nature and is willing to continue working with her to build trust.
