My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Legend (A137777) is a 7-year-old Weimaraner who weighed just over 60 lbs at intake!

03/14/25 This handsome guy named Legend arrived at the shelter because his previous owners felt they weren't able to provide him with the level of attention he so desperately craves after having a baby. Legend was described as being a `velcro dog!` He loves to give kisses and insists on cuddling on the couch with his head in your lap. Legend was said to be kennel trained and housebroken. He will go to the door and whine to let you know he has to go. He was described as being friendly, outgoing, affectionate, and gentle when playing. He was said to do well around babies and children, but he really likes to give them kisses all over their face. Legend does not have direct experience with cats, but he has been known to bark at them when he has seen them through a window. At best, he seems to tolerate dogs. He has been known to give a friendly, loose greeting but then go on about his business. Legend really does not like having his feet messed with, and he is very good about telling you no if you get too close to them. His previous owner also made it a point to say that Legend does not like shots (who does?). It would benefit both Legend and his new owners alike to reach out to their vet clinic of choice and discuss `happy visits` to help him build trust and positive association with the vet clinic setting.
