Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Emie!
Emie is a 1.5 year old female chihuahua ready to find her forever home. At barely 7 pounds, she can fit in a tote bag and makes a great travel companion! Emie was rescued from a shelter, where she’d been brought to after seemingly experiencing some head trauma.
Emie is a total love bug! She gets along well with people (including kids), cats, and dogs. She is very friendly and playful and not aggressive in the slightest. She is quick to find and make you her “person.” She adapts well to new environments and made herself at home in her current foster home within a day! She claimed her doggie bed and made friends with the other two dogs in the home (also chihuahuas) and it’s been smooth sailing from there. A fenced home is recommended for Emie because she adores running around in the yard. She also enjoys going on leashed walks. She loves laying in the sun, too! She could do equally as well as an only dog or in a home with another dog.
Emie is crate trained and does well in a kennel. She is pee pad trained and though she is not totally housebroken, she’ll let you know when she needs to go out if you pay attention to her cues. She does well traveling on car rides.
Emie is fully vetted and up to date on her vaccinations. She has been spayed. She is heartworm negative and takes monthly heartworm prevention. She has been microchipped.
Emie’s adoption donation is $300.
If you are interested in the above dog, please do not email us and tell us that you are interested, but submit an adoption application. The link for the application is below.
To submit an application go here……chihuahua-rescue.com/adoption-application/
An application must be submitted and approved before a meet-n-greet can be scheduled.
Your current dogs/cats must be spayed or neutered unless a veterinarian has determined that your current pet(s) should not be fixed due to medical reasons. They must also be up-to-date on shots and on HW preventative.
Reference checks and a home visit are required so our southeast dogs can only be adopted in NC/SC, VA, TN, AL, MD and GA.
