My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our pretty little Geisha Girl is a delicate but strong survivor of a backyard breeder who was discovered to be neglecting her small group of breeding girl dogs.  This little 8 pound delicate princess is almost 5 years old according to the breeder.   She was so matted and had to be quickly shaved down by the Human Society who went to the home to confiscate and free these poor Poodle girls (6) who had been bred over and over.   Surprisingly, Geisha Girl, has been so resilient and quickly learned how nice it was to be outside in her fenced yard and touching and feeling grass.  She is so good with the foster mom’s other small breed dogs and you never hear her bark hardly ever.  She is quiet, almost housebroken and getting the hang of being treated like a special house dog.  A far cry from the small crate she had lived in.  She is not emotionally stunted and we are so glad for that.  She is loving and appreciative of any and all that you do for her.  She is special and will make your life oh so special too.

More about this rescue

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Cavalry give them a chance to have a life?
