My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact AnimalsRule (info@animalsrule.org) for more information about this pet.

Please read her biography below to learn what she needs in a home placement and how to apply.

Name: Pixi
Age: 2-3 yrs old
Sex: female, spayed
Breed: Chihuahua & Yorkie mix. A Chorkie
Weight: 7 lbs
Housebroken: NO, not housebroken. Learning to use pee pads & go potty outside in foster care.
Kids: Adult home, older teens ok. She can door dart. Has had no exposure to young kids
Other dogs: friendly with other dogs. Doesn't play with them yet. But is fine hanging out with them.
Cats: unknown, most likely, okay, she saw a cat the other day and ignored it.
Housing: any, we don't know how barky she is for those in apt/condo living. Any type should be ok.
Personality: Pixi is absolutely adorable. It's going to take her a minute or two, to get used to a new person and settle in. Initially head shy. Once she knows you, your golden.
What we know: We pulled her from the Baldwin Park Shelter where she entered as a stray. She was scared to death and had a hard time adjusting to shelter life while she was there.
Medical: healthy, vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped.

More about this rescue

Our Mission Statement:

Our primary goal is to remove dogs in danger of being euthanized from shelter environments and foster them until permanent homes are found through our adoption program. We believe in the spay and neuter of all animals, regardless of breed, in order to aid in the prevention of pet overpopulation. We provide our dogs with shelter, proper veterinary care and any necessary rehabilitation. We rescue all breeds of dogs and they come to us from a variety of different sources. Most of our dogs are rescued from our city and county shelters, others are strays, neglected, or abandoned due to their owners various financial situations.

Who We Are:

Animals Rule Placement Foundation is a registered 501 (C) (3) Non-Profit Animal Welfare Organization Tax ID #13-4264510.

We are a group of non paid volunteers who have come together to rescue and foster animals in need of adoption and find them permanent forever homes. We are based out of the south bay, in the city of San Pedro, California. Our funding comes entirely from donations, our adoption fees and fund raisers. We do not receive any city, county or government funding. Your tax deductible donation is used 100% for the welfare and veterinary care of the animals while they are with us.
