My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Coda is 1yr old black Labrador Retreiver. He’s a slender guy weighing in at about 60lbs. He starts off shy and can be a bit awkward at first, but soon his goofy, puppy-like personality shines. He’s sweet, connected, and has the potential for best friend material. His fosters have given him an incredible head start, and he is crate trained, house trained, and learning leash manners. Coda’s ideal forever humans are up for the joys (and challenges) of shaping a young dog.

He currently lives with middle school age kids and his shelter notes indicate that he previously lived with a cat. We’d love to see him land a forever home that will help Coda be more confident in the world and become his best self.

More about this rescue

We are a group of volunteers and rescuers combining our skills to help fosters get a dog out of the shelter! The dogs in our program have begun house, crate, and leash training. Our fosters follow a handful of house rules. The transition to a new home is easiest for your dog when these structures are carried over for some time and privileges are gradually introduced. This helps minimize anxiety and behavioral issues.
