My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

COOLEST CAT EVER! As with most of the cats at the shelter, we wish Archie could tell us his story. He has belonged to someone in the past, as they sadly had him front declawed, which took away his ability to defend himself, but since he was not neutered, he still had the desire to roam, which he has been doing for quite awhile. Near as we can tell, he has been couch surfing at various places until he was finally dropped off at the shelter. He is friendly and outgoing and loves everyone. He loves to be held and play. He is respectfully curious about other cats, and if they happen to hiss at him, he runs away. We think he would adjust just fine to a home with other kitties. He`s a great all around guy!

Their adoption process

1.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Find pets online or in person. We do encourage meet and greets with our pets to see how they fit into your lifestyle.

2.

Submit Application

We also require a vet reference if you have a current one, and 2 personal references, with names and phone numbers to call.

3.

Approve Application

If references check out, you will be approved for adoption.

4.

Take the Pet Home

We have a 2-week trial visit for dogs. We hold your paperwork/adoption fee and you take the dog up to 2 weeks to get to know each other.

5.

Sign Adoption Contract

At any point during the trial visit time, we will final the adoption only after you let us know that "he or she is ours"!

Additional adoption info

This fee includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and distemper shots, worming, flea preventative, heartworm testing for dogs and Feline Leukemia/FIV testing for cats.
