Come meet Jill and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (03/30) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church, VA (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!

Name: Jill Best Guess for Breed: Blue Heeler Mix

Best Guess for Age: 4.5 years as of March 2025 SEX: Female

Approximate Weight: 32 lbs

Gets Along With: Jill has lived with other dogs and cats while in a past foster home! We haven't seen her with kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters.

Currently Living at: South Carolina shelter. Jill needs a foster or a forever home to make her way up here.

Jill is Looking For: An active family who can give her lots of chances to run around and show off how smart she is with training and games. A warm bed, plenty of kibble and treats, and a loving family of her own is all this pretty girl needs.

What My Foster Says About Me: Coming soon! We will update this section when Jill has spent time in a DC area foster home.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
