My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Santiago was found roaming the streets HW+ & with bronchitis. While in the rescue he has gotten the treatment he needed and Santiago is now ready to find his perfect forever home!

Santiago is an approx. 6-8 year old, 13lb terrier mix! Santiago is at the perfect age in his life where he is ready to settle down and relax!

He loves to curl up in any comfy bed and explore outside when it’s nice! Santiago is a real foody and loves all the treats you give him and even does a happy dance for meal times!

Santiago is currently in a foster home with other dogs (big & small) and does good! Santiago would do great as an only dog getting all the extra attention and spoiling to himself or with another calm small dog! He is a chill guy looking for a calm forever home so older children would be best for him!

He will need a secure backyard & a home check is required.

Santiago will require grooming a few times a year and will need an adopter willing to accommodate this!

Santiago is crate trained and walks great on a leash! Santiago is still working on his potty training, he does mark but for the most part will use the doggy door!

Santiago is neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped, went through HW treatment & current on prevention! His adoption fee is $225.

Additional adoption info

Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake.

We require an adoption application (FYDRadopt.com), a house check, and our adoption fee is $225.00.

If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet.

Forever Yours Dog Rescue does not have a facility, all of our wonderful rescues are in foster homes with families that take care of them and love them until their forever homes come along.

More about this rescue

Forever Yours Dog Rescue was founded on November 8th, 2011, with the mission of helping smaller animal shelters located throughout Oklahoma.

We are an Oklahoma City based all-breed 501(c) dog rescue, caring for the unwanted, abandoned, and abused dogs of Oklahoma. We rescue from local shelters and shelters throughout Oklahoma. We do take owner surrender's under certain situations.

We advocate spay/neuter and offer assistance in finding a low-cost option for those that qualify.

We promote adoption as an alternative to buying your pet.
We provide pet ownership education through materials, counceling, and on-site workshops, at no cost to the public, with an emphasis on preventative care.

We are all volunteer based, with no paid employees.
Please support us in our mission to attain a time in Oklahoma when there are homes for all adoptable pets by donating at www.foreveryoursokc.org/donate.
