Shortie is a spunky little puppy that loves to play! He is go go go all day, but the evenings are made for snuggles!

Shortie may be small, but he thinks he is big and has no fears about tackling the adult yorkie in the home and chasing after him. He loves toys and running around in the yard. He is a little scared of storms and loud noises.

Shortie has been around small children and does well with them. Small children need to have respect for a little puppy and not carry them around or jump on them or near them. Shortie has a tendency to get under your feet and should not go to a home with someone who has mobility problems.

Shortie's adoption is $550. He is not neutered as we do not neuter until 6 months. A spay/neuter contract is required and LHCR will pay the vet $200 towards the spay/neuter expense. Shortie is microchipped, current on vaccines, and on monthly flea and heart worm prevention. Applications at leiashope.org.

ALL OF OUR DOGS ARE IN FOSTER HOMES AND NOT AT A CENTRAL LOCATION. AN APPROVED APPLICATION IS REQUIRED BEFORE WE DO MEET AND GREETS.

WE DO NOT SHIP OR TRANSPORT DOGS. YOU MUST COME TO THE LOCATION OF THE DOG TO MEET AND ADOPT.

Dogs are a commitment for THEIR lifetime. For puppies this could be 15 years. If YOU cannot commit to the lifetime of the DOG, please do not apply. Puppies under 9 months must go to a home where there is someone home frequently (works from home or a partner is home), can adequately socialize and train the puppy, and can keep up with puppy energy!
