Wilma is a gentle and shy soul looking for a patient and loving home. She thrives with a calm environment with a family that will give her the time she needs to open up. Once she warms up, Wilma is a total cuddle bug and loves to soak up all the love you give to her! While she did enter care with another dog that she got along well with, new dogs tend to stress her out so she may do best as the only dog until she has time to fully settle in and open up. With care and understanding, Wilma will blossom into a loyal and affectionate companion.

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County.
