My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scooby (born around January of 2024) is a small mixed breed who was brought to the sanctuary after being picked up as a stray by the municipal shelter. He is a boisterous young guy who seems to have limitless energy, he enjoys spending time with humans as well as other dogs, and he loves to jump VERY high in the air. He can also climb chain link fences, so a secure environment is definitely a must. Scooby is looking for a family who appreciates his high activity level while providing plenty of affection and cuddle time.

include a vet check, landlord check &/or home visit. An adoption contract will be executed once the adoption is approved.

Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary (SHAS) is a no-kill, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that was founded in 1996, and is the largest and longest-running no-kill facility in the Las Cruces, NM area. SHAS provides medical care, food, shelter and comfort to nearly 90 homeless cats and dogs of our community, while seeking caring homes for them.
