Aiden is 6-8 months old and 6.7 pounds. He was born with a very deformed rear right back limb. We did have him X-rayed by our vet. Amputation is not recommended. The problem is because Ayden is still young, and his kneecap does not bend. It is almost fused for nonexistent really his leg is super straight, so we cannot guarantee that he would never sustain an injury that would cause him to need amputation. As a Rescue , we cannot guarantee that there will not be problems in his future as he ages, and grows, however, that being said, Ayden gets along wonderfully. He does use this leg for balance and he stands on it although does not use full weight on it. He uses it to help him turn, he runs very quickly in the yard, he loves to play with his friends and his sister Ava, he does really well and is pain free. Aiden is a bit shy and skittish at first when meeting new people but he comes around very quickly. He is a very loving, gentle, and happy boy. He has been around puppies and senior dogs, and takes dog cues very well. He has some grouchy, senior friends here and he respects their space. He is never aggressive , and is a gentle sweet and loving soul. He has trouble with stairs and will need an adopter that is physically capable of picking him up , he will be about 12-15 pounds fully grown. We all adore little Aiden he is super special inside and out ❤️
