Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Dale the Chihuahua
Hello World!! My name is Dale, and I am an 8-year-old golden chihuahua boy who is looking for a new home. (my old name was Gayle, but that is a girl name so we changed it!)
I used to be one of those dogs that you hear about or see on the TV commercials that live in the back yard, in a cage, with the sad music in the background, asking you to rescue them. Well, here is your chance!!
Actually, I was turned into a local animal control after living for 8 years outside, and was doing pretty well, until they decided I had heartworms, and then, because they don’t treat those, I was on the …‘gulp’… kill list. Fortunately, because I am so cute and loveable, God’s Dogs rescue decided I was a great guy and they would treat those nasty old worms and here I am!!!
I have had my worms treated and will come with 4 months of Simparica Trio monthly preventatives to make sure my worms are totally gone for good. I have gone through the shots and the waiting month after the shots and feel great now!
I am a very happy little guy. I weigh only 7.5 pounds and am housebroken. I get along with other dogs of any size, I don’t care about cats and I love people! Foster mom has a set of stairs by the bed and whenever she is in there, I am snuggled up right by her side, keeping her warm and comfy at night.
I walk well on a leash, and I can’t wait to meet you!!
Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)

Additional adoption info
Adoption application required.
Adoptions applications are checked by contacting references and veterinarians of those with pets to ensure our pups go to the best homes possible. We work hard to place dogs into the right families, but sometimes we realize the fit isn't quite working out for the adopter or the pet..
If an adoption does not work out and we have room to take the dog back into the rescue, we will. However, the sheer number of needy animals in TX usually means we become full quickly after the dog is adopted. So, in those cases we will post the animal locally, and help the adopter screen applicants and facilitate finding another adoptive home for the pet in your area.

We are a TEXAS based rescue who transport regularly to this area. Our dogs are in TEXAS and will be transported to you if you adopt from us.
Our pets are posted on our website, and most live in homes with their fosters. We live with our foster dogs to get to know them in a home setting and to let them know that life can be good away from the streets.
We work to correct poor behaviors, teach manners and observe each dogs particular quirks and personalities so we can give accurate observations of the dogs you are interested in.
We know that dogs will sometimes behave differently with different people but we can give you our impressions of our pups and situations they have been in.
