My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bean: Your New Best Friend
About Bean
Bean is a delightful 40-pound heeler mix who has been patiently waiting at Barking Mad Animal Rescue for her forever home. Although she arrived as a puppy, three long years have passed, and it's finally time for Bean to find a loving family.
Personality and Traits
Dog-Friendly: Bean loves the company of other dogs and would make a fantastic companion for another canine friend.
Active: With a playful and energetic nature, Bean thrives on activity. Whether it's a walk in the park or a game of fetch, she's always ready for an adventure.
People-Friendly: Bean is known for her friendly disposition towards people. She's the kind of dog who'll greet you with a wagging tail and a warm heart.
Playful and Smart: Intelligent and eager to learn, Bean is quick to pick up new tricks and commands. Her playful spirit makes Bean a joy to be around.
Ready for Adoption
Bean is more than ready to meet her new family and settle into a loving home. Her ideal environment would be with an active family who can provide her with plenty of love, exercise, and mental stimulation.
If you think Bean could be the perfect addition to your family, please consider adopting her. She has so much love to give and is waiting for someone to give her the chance she deserves. For more information on how to adopt Bean, please contact Barking Mad Animal Rescue. Let’s help Bean find her forever home! Bean’s sister Sprout is here too.....just in case you want a pair of fun loving activity companions!

More about this rescue

BMAR is a No-Kill facility: a place of safety for healthy adoptable animals, a home for the homeless, a haven for the mistreated, neglected, or abused animals of Sabine & surrounding counties. BMAR also runs a sanctuary for those deemed unadoptible due to medical and behavior issues.

100% Volunteer Rescue. We have no animal control, Humane Society, or SPCA operating in our area leaving animals in dire straights.

BMAR is dedicated to the prevention of cruelty & abuse to all animals & livestock.

We currently only adopt to states and Canada where we have a network in place to monitor animals and help with problems.

BMAR backs it's dogs for life and will take back no matter how long and at any time if circumstance arise and you cannot keep your pet.
