My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Mama Marriott is now looking for her forever home. She is a 3-year-old Boston Terrier who was released from a breeding facility while pregnant. After giving birth to two handsome boys, Hilton and Hyatt, she has been a wonderful mother to them. Now, she is ready to find someone who will pamper and care for her. She truly deserves the best home possible.

Mari is just the sweetest little girl. She loves to be loved. One of her favorite things to do, is cuddle on the couch or bed with her people. She will curl up in a ball and rest her head on your chest as you watch TV. When she lifts her head and looks at you, you can’t help but melt. Then the kisses come. Mari does not like noises or shouting. She would prefer a quiet calm home with another dog to guide her. She is never mean or aggressive but a home with small children may be too much for her to relax. Therefore a home with kids 12+ would probably be best.

Being a breeder release, she is nervous in new situations with new people to count on. She has bonded with her current foster family, so in time she will bond with her new family. Marriott is still working on her house training. She is catching on and does well for about 4-6 hours. When you are home, she will go out and potty every time you take her out. She definitely has her signals as to when she needs to go. Mari will start dancing and pacing if she has to go.

Mari enjoys the comfort of a dog bed. She is beyond adorable when she curls up in the bed and suckles on the edge of it. Everything about Mari is beautiful, from her looks to her soul. She is a calm and quiet girl. She gets along just fine with cats and dogs. She will get small bursts of energy to play with the other dogs in her foster home. She’s not a barker and does not chew or destroy things in your home. She is crate trained but prefers to lay in bed in the kitchen while you are away from home. Mari also is the perfect car ride companion. She is content to lay securely in the back seat of the car while you go on a road trip.

Mari is a dog that was released from a breeding facility, similar to those from puppy mills. She is not leash trained and has no experience with leashes. Her new home must have a fully fenced yard—please note that invisible fences are not acceptable.  Additionally, we require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure her safety and security. Fearful dogs can easily slip out of a traditional collar and harness when startled by something.

If you think Mari is the right fit for your family, make sure you apply today. You won’t be disappointed.

Mari is spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  Her adoption fee is $500
