My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Approximate Date of Birth: 3/1/2021

Description:

Oh Hi there! My name is a Billy,

I am looking for a family that can help make me feel safe and patient with me as I can be a bit shy at first. Physically I am a big boy, but I am a big baby whom just wants to be snuggled and reassured with sweet baby talk. Once I feel comfortable with you I will hug you as we snuggle under some cozy blankets. I will be curious about you, and will look at you with admiration with my big loving eyes.

Words to Describe Me: Sweet, snuggly, curious, shy

Favorite Place to Sleep: Anywhere I can cuddle with blankets or my human.

Favorite Toy: I like chasing a wand toy.

Perfect Day: A perfect day would start with a warm greeting from my human, some delicious food, and some cuddles and play.

Kitty's Likes: Snuggling, being under a blanket, giving hugs

Kitty's Dislikes: Loud noises, being approached too quickly, and change

Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Rub my chin

Favorite Treat: Churu

Job Title in Foster: Teddy Bear

When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: Master cuddler

Other Info: Billy has low energy but I think once he gets to a more healthy weight he will be more active. He is interested in toys and plays a bit for now.

  •  Good with Cats: Prefers a home with no cats.

  • Good with Dogs: Unknown.

  • Good with Children: Can live in a house with children as long as children are respectful of animal and parents are supervising interactions as he adjusts to home .

  • Companion Animal: Not necessary.

Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age.

Adoption Process:   Our adoptable animals are located at one of our adoption centers or in foster homes. We require interested parties to apply prior to meeting to ensure a good match. Applications can be submitted on our website at  www.savingonelife.org/adopt/apply.

Additional adoption info

We will adopt to out of state adopters but we do NOT ship animals under any conditions. You must come to us in person to meet the animal and make sure it is a mutual match. We have had many adopters come from the states around us and drive or fly with their new family member back.

Go meet their pets

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
