My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Walnut is the embodiment of everything a ragdoll should be- soft, fluffy, sweet, friendly, and cuddly. This girl is perfect, and she is ready for her forever home.
Walnut came to Cameron Animal Rescue with several other cats from a hoaridng situation. She has had a tough road, but she hasn't let it affect her. She has no health issues; she is FeLV/FIV negative. She has been tested for Feline Bartonella and is negative. Her adoption includes fecal testing and deworming; her full series of FVRCP (DIstemper) and Rabies vaccines; her spay and microchip; and 30 days of free pet insurance.
Walnut is a sweet, friendly girl. She is wonderful with people, and is generally good with kids (but hasn't met any very young children). She likes to play with small stuffed toys that she can wrestle and chase. She started her life in a home with many other cats, and would prefer to spend the rest of her life as a spoiled only pet.
Walnut loves human attention. She enjoys being pet, and even rolls over for belly rubs. She will thrive in a home that has lots of time to spend with her- whether that's snuggling on the couch or playing with toys.

*Walnut's adoption fee is $600.
Please note that an extensive prior vet reference is required for adoption. First time adopters will not be accepted.
Adopters from northern NJ are prioritized. Adopters from NJ/NY/PA/CT are accepted.

More about this rescue

Cameron Animal Hospital has been located on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, New Jersey, since 1936. The family-owned hospital is the first purposfully built animal hospital in the state of NJ, and provides veterinary services to cats, dogs, and other small animals, including rabbits, rats, ferrets, and more.

Cameron Animal Hospital is not a shelter, but works extensively with the rescue community in Essex County by providing veterinary care to local shelters, and finding homes to a variety of animals (cats, dogs, and small animals) who have come into our care.
