Max is a happy, sweet, affectionate, and playful, six-year-old, 20-pound, male black and white Shih Tzu looking for a loving guardian.

Max loves people and gets along with other dogs. He loves car rides and does nicely on leashed walks. He was neutered late in life, so wearing a belly band in the house helps with his housebreaking. He’s best when walked at least three times a day, and crated when he can’t be observed.

Max lost his home when his human died. He lived for way too long in his original home with a neighbor popping in to feed him. When a realtor came in to sell the home, Max came to our rescue.

He is now healthy, dewormed, neutered, up-to-date on rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. His adoption fee of $400 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits Rescue. He comes complete with absolutely everything you need to care for him. He has been professionally groomed and has a soft magnificent coat.
